Vols Donating Official Gear to KARM

Tennessee’s new Nike gear has been much publicized – and for good reason. The new Vol gear was released to much fanfare on July 1st and the Vols are scheduled to officially receive the first mass shipment of their Nike gear today.

So what happened to all of Tennessee’s Adidas gear?

In a fantastic gesture by the school, that gear was donated to Knox Area Rescue Ministry, or “KARM” as it’s known locally. Founded in 1960, KARM “serves men, women and children through a variety of progressive ministry programs designed to break the cycle of homelessness.”

The ministry also runs 17 thrift stores in East Tennessee and the “revenue generated through the sale of donated items is used to support the ongoing work of Knox Area Rescue Ministries.”

Tennessee’s donation to KARM is expected to carry a retail value of over $100,000, but KARM is selling the gear at a significant discount. The gear arrived this week and has understandably been flying off the shelves.

KARM still has Vol and Lady Vol gear in stock. If you’re looking for a shot at some official Vol gear at a deep discount that will also help fight homelessness, hurry to KARM this weekend.
