4. Florida’s offense could be awful
Florida hired Jim McElwain to fix a struggling offense that held the Gators back the past couple season. He’s a bright offensive mind that should be able to make improvement soon, but it might be asking too much to salvage the 2015 unit, which features four new starters on the offensive line and a very unclear quarterback situation.
The Gators have some talent to work with in running back Kelvin Taylor and receiver Demarcus Robinson, but without protection or stability at QB, it’s tough to have a competent offense at this level. The talent on defense should keep Florida at least in a lot of games, but it’s tough to envision a run to Atlanta for them with these issues on offense.
