2. The past two teams to win the East have done it after 7-win (or worse) seasons
Is making the jump from a seven-win season to the SEC East crown too much to do? Your gut reaction might be yes, but consider that the last three teams that have been divisional champs – Missouri (2014, 2013), Georgia (2012) and South Carolina (2011) all had seven wins or less in the season prior to winning the East. Recent history clearly shows that it not only can be done, but that it’s done on a pretty regular basis.
