8. Cost of attendance is not a huge deal
Virtually every coach in attendance was asked if the new “cost of attendance” stipend affects his program and his recruiting. The overwhelming consensus: Not much, if any. Most coaches came out in favor of giving players the extra money that is designed to go towards cost of living items such as insurance, cell phone bills, travel and other miscellaneous items. Though Arkansas’ Bret Bielema did say it can be “dangerous” to give players the extra money
