BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – With all the focus of the SEC landscape zooming in on the 2015 season at SEC Media Days, the Vols are also looking way into the future on the recruiting trail.
Tennessee added 2018 offensive line Cade Mays from Knoxville Catholic, giving the Vols their first commitment in the 2018 class, matching the one commitment Tennessee also has in the 2017 class (DL Jordon Riley).

Mays, the son of former Vol lineman Kevin Mays, has made no secret of his strong early interest in the Vols – visiting campus multiple times in the past few months and making it clear in various interviews that the Vols are in great shape. But his local ties and UT legacy status hasn’t kept some of the other top programs in the nation from showing interest as well as he’s picked up offers from Alabama, Florida State, Clemson, Texas A&M, Duke and others.
The 6-foot-5, 305-pound prospect hasn’t been ranked by any major recruiting services yet.
