10. CB Devaun Swafford
Swafford likely won’t be a starter and you may forget about him when making depth chart projections. But there’s a reason he’s known as “Big Play Swafford” around the program. He makes things happen when he’s on the field. Whether it be the Pick-6 at Florida in 2013, his special teams touchdown against Georgia that same year or the big plays he regularly makes in practice, he finds ways to impact the game when he’s on the field.
He worked at nickel in the spring and can provide depth at several spots in the secondary. Look for his impact on special teams more than anything, however. Good things seem to happen when he’s on the field for the Vols.
