If you’ve seen Tennessee quarterback commitment Jarrett Guarantano’s film, you know he can move. He proved that even more so on Friday, reporting a 4.45 40-yard dash.
Forty times can vary a bit based on how they’re timed, surface and other factors, but regardless, 4.45 – or anything close to it – is an elite number for any kind of quarterback prospect. Consider that his reported time would’ve been significantly faster than any quarterback who was at the NFL Combine in 2015 – including Marcus Mariota, Nick Marshall and other well-known collegiate dual-threat QBs.
Guarantano is getting set to enter his senior year at Bergan Catholic in New Jersey after committing to the Vols in April.
