Does he underachieve sometimes? Yes. Is it fair to say he probably should’ve won more SEC titles and at least one national title during his 14-year tenure at Georgia? Probably. But the numbers, ultimately, don’t lie. Richt has averaged just under 10 wins per season in Athens and has the second-highest winning percentage in UGA modern era history, just behind the legendary Vince Dooley.
