3. Dak Prescott, QB Mississippi State
Prescott was among the favorites in 2014 for much of the year, but finished in eighth place after some late-season struggles. I’m not sure he even finishes that high in 2015, though he’s certainly a name to watch. It’s not that he’s a worse player now than he was in 2014, but MSU made somewhat of a magical run last season and lost a lot on defense, along with several key weapons on offense. The Bulldogs don’t have the talent base to instantly replace all that.
That will eat into Prescott’s numbers and MSU’s win total – possibly taking him out of the conversation. I love his talent and perhaps he puts the Bulldogs on his back and makes a run, but it’ll be difficult to reproduce what happened last year.
