It was simply astounding what freshman Nick Chubb was able to do as only a part-time starter in 2014 for Georgia, taking over for the suspended and injured Todd Gurley. Chubb put up huge numbers – 219 carries for 1,547 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground to go with 213 yards and a couple more touchdown via receiving. Some of those numbers came thanks to the injury plague that hit almost every other running back on Georgia’s roster in 2014.

Because of that, the Bulldogs are hoping to get Sony Michel and Keith Marshall more involved to save Chubb a bit. But with Gurley now completely out of the equation, Chubb could easily match, if not surpass, his 2014 output, and playing for SEC East-favorite Georgia should put him in the conversation.
