We’ve reached the major dark horse realm and I could’ve easily gone with South Carolina do-it-all WR Pharoh Cooper, either Arkansas running back or several others, but I’m going to project a little more and say Auburn running back Jovon Robinson, who comes to The Plains as The No. 1 overall JUCO player according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

He’ll compete with Roc Thomas for the starting job, but Robinson has the size and the overall skill set to be an elite back in the SEC. I think he could have a bigger season than Cameron Artis-Payne did last season, and Artis-Payne had over 1,600 yards, so those kind of numbers plus a playoff run for Auburn could thrust Robinson into breakout star status and into the conversation of the nation’s best. Auburn has been no stranger to JUCO stars with Cam Newton and current WR Duke Williams (another dark horse) among the players they’ve brought in from the junior college ranks who have made huge instant impacts.
