Bryce Youngquist
Linebacker – 2016 Class
6-2, 215 pounds
Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. (Los Osos)
Other top offers
Oregon, Arizona State, Oklahoma
Status
The California native got an offer from the Vols in early April, calling it “huge” at the time. He has since regularly referred to Tennessee as one of his top schools, even as his offer list continues to grow. Tennessee will need to get him on campus over the summer or fall to be a serious contender, however.

How He Fits
Youngquist is a true OLB who comes off the edge in pass-rush situations, but can drop back in coverage as needed as well. He’s a top-flight athlete for his size – running several recorded 40-yard dash times in the 4.4 to 4.5 range – showing more than adequate speed to play in any major conference.
Expect Tennessee to add 2-3 linebackers in the 2016 class and Youngquist is certainly in that conversation.
