Jeremy Darvin
Defensive Lineman – 2016 Class
6-2, 280 pounds
Nashville, Tenn. (Father Ryan)
Other top offers
Louisville, Cincinnati, Western Kentucky, MTSU
Status
Darvin received an early offer in the fall of 2014 from Tennessee and visited Knoxville a couple times after that. Not many other major conference schools have jumped in with offers since that point, though several have evaluated him. It’s possible that the Vols are in a bit of a wait-and-see mode with Darvin as spots in the 2016 class begin to fill up.

How He Fits
Darvin is a slightly undersized, though athletic, defensive tackle who fires off the ball with great leverage and is regularly disruptive in the backfield. He reminds us of Danny O’Brien coming out of high school – a guy without ideal size, but a big motor and enough athleticism to be an effective interior defensive lineman at the college level.
If he can pack on 20-30 more good pounds on his frame, he could be a bowling ball of an interior lineman. But we’ll see how the numbers shape up and how his senior season plays out before projecting if he’ll be a Vol in the 2016 class.
