Status
The D.C. native is coveted by essentially every major program in the nation and is ranked as high as the 60th best player in the country. The Vols got him on campus over the spring. That was a big win for them. They’ll likely need to get him back at least one more time to be a legitimate contender for him, however. Alabama, a team that’s had a fair amount of recruiting in his area of the country in recent years, looks like the team to beat heading into the summer.

 How He Fits

Doesn’t always have the most explosive first step, and can play a little high sometimes in his high school film, but Williams has all the physical attributes you’re looking for in a tackle, and has a frame that can still fill out a bit. He plays to (if not past) the whistle on every play. That’s a mentality the Vols like.

He’d be a fantastic get as the Vols continue to look for players who can reshape the offensive tackle position after going through 2014 with limited production from that position.
