3. Adding Lamonte Turner

Lamonte TurnerTennessee’s point guard woes are well documented and adding a quality point guard in the 2015 class was a priority the day Barnes took the job. Barnes turned his focus to 2016 point guard Lamonte Turner and Turner ultimately reclassified to the 2015 class and committed to Tennessee.

“Turner is a versatile guard, capable of playing on or off the ball,” ESPN wrote in a scouting report. “He shoots the ball very well from the three-point line, is capable of making them in bunches, and has a complimenting pull-up game and ability to attack close-outs to match. He’s got a solid and well-rounded floor game where he rarely gets rattled, plays within the flow of the offense, and is a dependable decision maker with the ball in his hands.”

He’ll have a chance to start at point guard from day one and is a huge addition for Tennessee.
