6. Roster Stability
It’s been a rough few years for the Vol basketball team. Returners like Armani Moore and Robert Hubbs will be playing for their third coach in three years. Roster attrition is a natural consequence of coaching changes and the Vols know that all too well. Though a couple of players have transferred since the Barnes hire, the bulk of the roster remains intact.
The Vols desperately need Armani Moore, Kevin Punter and Robert Hubbs to step up their scoring ability next season. Keeping them in Knoxville is one of Barnes’ biggest offseason successes. Retaining signees Shembari Phillips and Admiral Schofield is right up there as well.
