Status:
Tennessee received its first commitment at the receiver position for the 2016 class on March 30, 2015 when Shreveport, Louisiana’s Corey Henderson gave his verbal pledge to the Vols. Henderson’s stock is likely to rise in the coming months, and the Vols will have to work to hold onto his commitment, but Henderson maintains that he is solid to Tennessee.

 How He Fits

Henderson’s biggest asset is his speed – which is exceptional – but he also possesses fantastic vision and a high level of “wiggle” that allows him to get the most out of every touch. He plays quarterback, receiver and cornerback for his high school team, but projects as a slot receiver at the next level for the Vols. He catches the ball with his hands away from his body, runs with great toughness and does a nice job of finishing plays through contact. With Tennessee looking to replace Pig Howard and Von Pearson and possibly others in 2016, Henderson could have an opportunity to make an early impact on Rocky Top.
