Trevor Speights
Running back – 2016 Class
5-10, 185 pounds
McAllen, Tex. (Memorial)
Other top offers
Texas A&M, Stanford, Arizona, Missouri
Status
Speights decommitted from Arizona in the spring and has seen his recruitment pick up with offers from Texas A&M and Stanford rolling in before the summer of 2015. He visited Tennessee during a Junior Day in March and came away impressed. A&M heads into the summer as the presumed favorite, but the Vols are in contention, especially if they get him back on campus.

How He Fits
A shifty, speedy back, Speights would be an excellent complimentary player if the Vols are able to land a more traditional running back in the 2016 class as well. We’re expecting the Vols to take at least two, maybe more, backs in this class, so it wouldn’t be surprising at all to see them look for a couple different skill sets to build depth and variety in the backfield in the coming years.
