4. Justin Worley – Cleveland Browns (Rookie Mini Camp Invitation)

Johnny Manziel
Josh McCown
Thaddeus Lewis
Connor Shaw
Outlook: Despite having one of the messiest QB situations in the league, the Browns opted not to draft any signal callers over the weekend. That’s the good news for Worley. The bad news is that there are already three QBs on the roster who have started in the NFL before (Manziel, McCown and Lewis) plus Shaw, who has a year’s worth of head start on him in the system. But all you can really ask for as a UFA is to go into a situation where there’s some uncertainty. Worley certainly has that as he heads up to Cleveland.
Odds: Worley has a lot of things working against him, even though the situation isn’t that tough relatively speaking. He’s coming off a major injury, he isn’t even guaranteed a spot in camp at this point and he would have to beat out multiple veterans to even have a shot to make the active roster. We saw Matt Simms beat the odds for the Jets recently, so anything can happen, but Worley’s chances aren’t good.
