Others who could get a look with a big 2015 campaign:
OL Kyler Kerbyson: He’s a versatile offensive lineman who is probably better suited at guard, but can play tackle or center too. If he starts all 13 games next year, he’ll be leaving UT with 26 career starts and over 40 game appearances. He won’t be a top NFL prospect, but perhaps good enough to get a look in an NFL camp.
DT Owen Williams: The junior college transfer showed flashes in 2014 in the DT rotation and could take another step in 2015 if he can hold off some of the elite talent the Vols are bringing in at his spot. He’s a weight-room warrior who will put up big numbers in testing.
OL Marcus Jackson: The stocky 6-2, 310-pound lineman could play guard or center and enters his senior season with 17 career starts.
C Mack Crowder: He’s a bit undersized, but should leave UT as a two-year starter, and he’s deceptively strong. He could earn an NFL camp invite with a strong senior year.
S LaDarrell McNeil: He’s been in and out of the starting lineup throughout his career, but had an improved 2014 campaign. May not have the speed to play safety in the NFL, but could get a look as a versatile safety/outside linebacker/special teams player.
LB Chris Weatherd: Needs a big year after only being a part-time player in 2014. The junior college transfer has a good frame at 6-4, 225, and if he adds some weight and gets some more chances this year, the NFL might take a look at him for his pass-rushing ability and versatility.
