Daniel: This unit will be good IF Jalen Hurd and Alvin Kamara stay healthy. We saw that on Saturday. Kamara’s numbers weren’t huge due to a couple negative plays, but he showed the burst and acceleration that have made him one of the MVPs of the spring for the team. Hurd got just three carries – but he made the most of them – piling up 40 yards on that trio of attempts. Grade: B-
Houston: Jalen Hurd proved that he’s still good on a few early runs and Alvin Kamara flashed his ability in limited attempts. You could sense that Jones and the rest of this coaching staff were trying to be very careful with how they managed these two players, which makes it tough to gauge what type of performance this group had. Outside of no further injuries to this group, there wasn’t much to celebrate, but that’s a huge victory at this point. Grade: C+
