Peyton Visits Knoxville for Orange and White Weekend

Peyton-1-2

Perfect ambassadors are strangely unique and twice as rare, but Tennessee has had the goods for quite a few years now in Peyton Manning. The former Vol quarterback routinely gives of his time, football knowledge, and likeness in an attempt to help support his alma mater, and this weekend was no exception.

Butch Jones announced earlier in the week that Manning had made plans to attend yesterday’s Orange and White Game – a bit of news that certainly satisfied any Vol fan who had made plans to be in Neyland Stadium for Tennessee’s spring wrap-up on Saturday afternoon. And while fans were thrilled to get a glimpse of the legend, it wouldn’t be a careless statement to say that his reception was perhaps a touch louder after Friday evening’s announcement that Manning was making a $3 million “leadership commitment” to Tennessee Football.

But just when you think that Peyton Manning has done everything that he possibly could for Tennessee’s football program, the “Sheriff” proves, once again, that he still has a few more bullets left in his gun. Because while Friday’s announcement was certainly the most impactful portion of Manning’s visit, it was just the start of a very busy weekend.

Instead of typing out a play-by-play of his weekend, however, I’ll let pictures posted to social media do all of the talking. Here’s a look at Manning’s weekend trip to Knoxville, via a social media roundup:
