7. Josh Malone
This isn’t to announce his arrival as an all-american receiver in 2015, but Josh Malone has taken some positive strides this spring. He is about as imposing of a wide receiver that you’ll see in the SEC and he looks more confident in what the coaches are asking him to do than he did last fall. With Malone, the only questions are about effort and attention to detail. Mike Debord, Butch Jones, Zach Azzanni and even some of his teammates have all been overheard giving Malone some extra attention on Haslam Field and in Neyland Stadium this spring, and it appears that the message may finally be getting through to the talented receiver from Gallatin.
He still has some work ahead of him – as well as quite a few players on the depth chart – but Malone has shown enough flashes this spring to provide some hope for the future.
