2. Brett Kendrick
Opportunities present themselves in various ways. When we saw the open portion of the first practice, Coleman Thomas was working as the starting right tackle with Brett Kendrick working with the 2s. When legal matters cropped up for Thomas and he was held out, Kendrick stepped into that right tackle spot and never looked back. When Thomas was cleared and returned to the practice field, many of his reps came at center while Kendrick, in every open portion, was the starter at RT. Kendrick has re-shaped his body and is playing with more confidence after getting a taste of the field in 2014. The Knoxville native, at the very least, has put himself in position to battle for a starting job in fall camp, and is probably the leader in the clubhouse at RT right now.
