4. Hurd, Kamara and ???
Few doubt that Jalen Hurd and Alvin Kamara have the potential to be a potent one-two punch. But after that? All bets are off.
With Hurd and Kamara banged up this spring, it’s been up to walk-ons to try to keep the position afloat in some practice and scrimmage settings. Thankfully for the Vols, there is at least some help coming this summer, but it doesn’t look like there will be a clear-cut third guy who will be ready to step up and take on the load if injuries limit the top two in any way.
I wouldn’t go as far as saying they’re “injury prone,” but Hurd and Kamara have both suffered multiple injuries during their respective careers, so the Vols will have to be careful with how much they use them in practice and hope for the best on the injury front.
