Every Friday of the offseason, a member of the RTI team will post a top-10 list. Many will be directly related to UT athletics, but some will veer off course a bit. Obviously these will all be subjective in nature, a bit ridiculous at times and subject to a lot opinion and discussion.
Optimism has been the primary feeling around Tennessee football over the offseason. And there are plenty of reasons for that. So much so that for the Top 10 last Friday, I looked at 10 of the biggest reasons for optimism and gave some credence to the pundits predicting big things for the Vols in 2015.
But one of the interesting storylines about this team is that, while talented enough to be a threat, it’s also fragile enough in a few areas to falter enough to not live up to some of those expectations. Butch Jones has said time and time again that they’re not a great team right now, and lack of depth and a few other key concerns play into that.
Here are 10 general areas I’ve identified as areas of concern as the Vols are continuing to work through this spring and over the summer heading into 2015.
