Keeping it simple here. Having a true No. 1 CB that can minimize the effects of an opposing top receiver does wonders for a defensive gameplan. He’s underrated in the SEC and doesn’t get the attention he deserves nationally because teams stopped messing with his side of the field on a regular basis last year.
Throw in his ability to impact the game on special teams via punt returns and the fact that the defensive coaches have discussed moving him around some between nickel and outside cornerback next year, and it wound’t be surprising if he has an even bigger impact in 2015.
