Jarrett Guarantano’s trip to Knoxville over the past few days could be one of the biggest visits for the Vols in recruiting in the 2016 cycle.
It’s been well-documented that the Vols are now in the market for a top quarterback in the 2016 class after Austin Kendall’s de-commitment a few weeks back. Guarantano, a four-star, dual-threat quarterback from Oradell, N.J., has Tennessee in his top three along with Rutgers and Ohio State.
The home-state Scarlet Knights will be tough to overcome for Guarantano, who is the son of a legendary Rutgers wide receiver James Guarantano, but Tennessee is clearly doing everything it can to convince him that Knoxville is the best place for him.
