4. Derek Dooley
In 2011 Derek Dooley accomplished the unthinkable, walking into Lexington with a roster loaded with NFL talent, only to fall to a depleted Kentucky side that started a wide receiver at quarterback. In what would become arguably the lowest single point in the history of a proud football program, the man with the golden hair couldn’t beat a team that could barely stop from beating itself.
The fact that the loss came to Kentucky stings, as it ended the nations longest winning streak, but it hardly matters as I doubt the Vols will lose to Kentucky again any time soon. The stench that lingers on from the Dooley administration however, grows far more pungent when the Vols play UK each fall, serving as an annual reminder of previous mistakes made.
