2. Contributions Gone Awry

A quick search tells me a few things that the state of Kentucky as contributed to the rest of the world. For starters, in true Kentucky fan form, claims were made in previous centuries that both the cheeseburger and telephone were invented in the Bluegrass state. Problem being that both of those things were patented by gentlemen from other states shortly after.

Pikeville, Kentucky is the world leader in Pepsi Consumption per capita, which is offensive to most Coca-Cola loyal southerners. Possibly worst of all, the Appalaichan region of the state was home to the post Civil War Hatfield-McCoy feud, which is the reason that in Tennessee, we have some of the most obnoxious billboards ever created between Knoxville and Gatlinburg. Kentucky does receive a few points back for George Clooney, a true American treasure.
