JRM might not have the star power of some of the guys in front of him, but he’s extremely productive (led the Vols in tackles in 2014) and probably has a couple more years of college football in front of him. His versatility gives him value as much as anything. The converted safety made a seamless transition to outside linebacker, where he’s especially good in space – both in tackling and covering skill players. With plenty of spread-type offenses in the SEC, having players like Reeves-Maybin who can play in the box and cover receivers in space is extremely valuable.
