Every Friday of the offseason, a member of the RTI team will post a top-10 list. Many will be directly related to UT athletics, but some will veer off course a bit. Obviously these will all be subjective in nature, a bit ridiculous at times and subject to a lot opinion and discussion.
I try to keep these somewhat topical in light of what’s going on in the sports world and since NFL free agency has been the top story over the past week, I started thinking about who on UT’s roster would have the most value if there were some kind of legal free-agency system in place in college football.
Just like real free agency in the NFL, things like age, health history, production and scheme flexibility would all play into the players’ value. I’m also just looking at returning players on the roster – too early to figure out the newcomers’ value.
