Good chance:
LB/DE Curt Maggitt: The rising redshirt senior opted to return to Knoxville after a breakout junior season. The versatile defensive end/linebacker came off a knee injury that kept him out since late in 2013 to finish third in the SEC in sacks (11) and tied for fifth in the conference in TFLs (15). His versatility was impressive. He did a lot of his damage as a pass-rushing defensive end, but when opposing personnel dictated it, he played as a stand-up outside linebacker. His injury history will be a concern, but with a solid senior campaign, he could easily be a mid-round candidate in 2016.
WR Pig Howard: He’s never going to be an elite draft prospect because of his size (5-8, 187 pounds), but Tennessee’s most productive receiver over the past two seasons will be somebody NFL teams want to take a look at if he has another strong campaign in 2015. Several shorter receivers such as Antonio Brown, Wes Welker and Tavon Austin have had success in the NFL in recent years, so while Howard might not be a high pick, he can certainly still have a productive NFL career.
CB Cam Sutton: He’s been Tennessee’s best cover corner as a freshman and sophomore and should only get better in his junior year. One mock draft (WalterFootball.com) currently has Sutton as the No. 9 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, so he certainly has big-time NFL potential. I’m not sure if I’m ready to say he’s top-10 caliber, but he’s certainly a future pro and it’ll probably be a matter of when – not if – he gets that opportunity.
