Tennessee has clearly addressed many of its roster issues over the last two recruiting classes – both of which were ranked among the best in the nation.
To an extent, there aren’t the gaping holes on the roster that Butch Jones has had to address over the last two couple years in this recruiting cycle. But there are a few spots where the Vols will need to add some depth and potentially some guys who can be in the two-deep early in their career.
It’s also unknown how big this class will be. The Vols will likely be “blueshirting” some players from the 2015 forward into 2016, so it’s unclear exactly how many players Tennessee will be able to sign in this class. Though, if Jones’ first two years are a good indicator, expect the Vols to pack in as many as possible.
Rocky Top Insider will continue to bring more 2016 recruiting coverage to you over the offseason including our 16 for 2016 series, interviews, visit updates, 2016 database, videos and more, but this is a big-picture look at what the Vols will need to address the most this year.
