RTI Average: 3-stars

RTI’s Take:

Daniel: Two things stand out about Miller: 1. He played for one one of the best high school programs in the nation and got a ton of experience against some high-level competition and 2. He always showed out in camps, earning offers when teams actually got to see him play in person. He doesn’t jump off the screen in film study, but he’s a good technician at the position and has adequate height and overall size. I would not call him a sure-fire star, but he could be a good who surprises.

Reed: While he may not make an immediate impact, Miller has the tools to develop into a consistent player at Tennessee. At around 6-0, he has the height and build the Vol coaching staff wants in their defensive backs. He has quick feet, plus speed and gives great effort. He needs to get stronger and add bulk – how quickly he’s able to do that will determine how early he challenges for playing time. I wouldn’t say a redshirt is likely for Miller, but it would probably be ideal depending on how quickly he develops once he gets in Tennessee’s conditioning program.
