RTI’s Take:

Daniel: Oliver comes into a really good spot at Tennessee. There will be limited pressure on him to play early with a few experienced tight ends in front of him, giving the three-star prospect some time to develop physically and work on his blocking before he’s thrown into the SEC fray. He could easily turn into a matchup problem for opposing defenses after he develops a bit.

Houston: Oliver is a tremendous athlete at tight end and could provide Tennessee with nice weapon in the very near future. He played out wide a lot in Oakland’s offense, but has plenty of size to add bulk/strength to his frame and play on the line of scrimmage or lined up in the H-back spot for Tennessee once he becomes comfortable with the scheme. He’ll benefit from having a few players in front of him to learn under, and should see his role increase dramatically in year two or three in Knoxville.
