RTI’s Take:
Daniel: It’s hard to call a consensus four-star recruit a sleeper, but sometimes overshadowed by the Drew Richmond talk, Jack Jones is a heck of a player himself. What stands out on film about him is his technique and tenacity. He’s looking to put his man on the ground every play. He needs to bulk up and fill out his frame a little more to reach the level where he can be effective in the SEC, but the versatile Jones, who could be a guard or tackle, could end up as one of the most valuable members of this class given the future needs on the offensive line.
Houston: Jack Jones has a nasty demeanor, and isn’t likely to be outworked by many of the other linemen in this class. He will need to get bigger and more technically sound, but enrolling early will afford him the extra time to do so. I won’t go as far as to project him as a potential starter, but he is absolutely a player who I expect to find the field as a true freshman in some capacity.
Reed: Enrolling early will be huge for Jack Jones. He’s a hard-nosed player who isn’t afraid to punish opponents. He’s further along technically than many offensive linemen in this class as well. Like all linemen, he needs to get stronger, but he’ll have the time to do so. Don’t expect him to challenge for significant playing time right away, but don’t be surprised if he sees some snaps this fall.
