After adjusting his top-5 to include the Vols following a visit in early June, Allen publicly committed to Georgia a few weeks later. His top-5 consisted of Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Michigan and Tennessee before his commitment and has continued to take official visits to other schools. Allen then decommitted from Georgia on January 2nd, and is expected to select another school in the near future. The Vols are trending here, but far from a lock, and this one is scheduled to come down to National Signing Day.

Outlook
Allen has great technique and athleticism for an 18-year old but may lack the edge or “mean streak” that other linemen in this class possess. He could play either guard or tackle depending on the system he walks into.. As the Vols look to build strong depth on the offensive line for years to come, Allen would be a strong addition who could grow into a quality SEC lineman at either guard or tackle.
