No. 8 Ole Miss (-3.5) at Arkansas 3:30 pm CBS
Daniel: I mocked Vegas for making Arkansas the favorite against LSU last week and look where that got me. Vegas is again giving Arkansas a lot of credit this week with Ole Miss coming into town as just a slight favorite, and the Hogs deserve it after taking care of business and getting their first SEC win under Bret Bielema last week. Still, I’m going with Ole Miss. I know the Rebels have had some tough luck at the end of games, but it’s hard to pick against the nation’s No. 1 scoring defense. This will be a physical game with the Rebels, even without Laquon Treadwell, finding a way to pull it out. Winner: Ole Miss 21-20
Houston: Like Daniel, I also made fun of Vegas for having Arkansas favored over LSU last weekend and got burned. The Razorbacks responded and now have a chance to win back-to-back SEC games. Ole Miss, however, has essentially had three weeks to prepare for this game. They beat Presbyterian 48-0 on November 8th before taking last Saturday off, so they should be prepared and well-rested. I don’t think this will be a high scoring game, but I do think that Ole Miss just has a few more weapons in this game, and should be able to put up enough points to get of Fayetteville with a victory. Look for Bo Wallace to have some head-scratchers in this one, but also make a few key plays late to help put the Rebels over the top. Winner: Rebels 24-16
Reed: I doubted Arkansas last week and shouldn’t have. They easily handled LSU for their first SEC win in over two years, but Ole Miss is a different beast. The Rebels have a considerable talent edge, even without Treadwell, and have the physical defense to slow a potent Razorback rushing attack. Beating LSU is one thing, beating a team that’s a play away from the College Football Playoff is another. Winner: Rebels 28-20
Tony: This a really interesting game. Ole Miss has slipped but could still finish the season with a bang with two straight wins. Arkansas is trying to become bowl eligible and build on last week’s win over LSU. Arkansas is a nice story but even minus Laquon Treadwell, Ole Miss has too much. Take the Rebs and the cover. Winner: Rebels 24-20
