A Look at UT’s Potential Redshirts

Charles Mosley-16. DT Charles Mosley

Why: Mosley was injured in a car accident shortly before fall camp and suffered a broken leg. He’s made huge progress throughout the year and is now walking with little problem around the facility, but it was a natural decision to redshirt the oversized (6-5, 370 pound) lineman.

Future outlook: Already needing to get into better football shape to have a chance for an impact, Mosley now also must overcome his injury. He was a highly-regarded 4-star prospect out of high schools who chose the Vols over Alabama and other elite programs. Listed as a defensive lineman at this point, he could also get a look on the offensive line. It may take some time, but expect Butch Jones to find a way to utilize Mosley’s massive frame somewhere in the trenches.
