Commitment Stats: 11/1

brick3We’ve rounded up some commitment stats and notes. As generally is the case with high school statistics, consider them unofficial since they were gathered from various local sources. Let us know if you have any additions or corrections in the comments section or by tweeting to @RockyTopInsider

2015 Offense:

QB Quinten Dormady: Dormady led Boerne High School to 24-15 win over Bandera and accounted for all three Greyhound touchdowns. Dormady finished the night by going 26-of-45 passing for 327 yards, 2 touchdowns through the air and one rushing touchdown.

QB Jauan Jennings: Jennings had a nice night against the highest level of competition. His Blackman team travelled to Alabama to face national power Hoover High School. The Blaze came up short by a final of 35-20, but Jennings drew rave reviews: “He’s an unbelievable player,” Hoover coach Josh Niblett told the Daily News-Journal. “We had something like five third-and-12 or plus and he converts them. You aren’t going to stop their offense from not doing anything and we have a really good defense. But he’s just a heck of a player.” Jennings ended the night with 72 yards rushing, 163 yards passing and a touchdown.

RB/ATH Joc Bruce: Bruce had a nice evening as he helped South-Doyle finish up an undefeated season in a win over Sevier County on local TV in Knoxville. After an early fumble, Bruce bounced back and helped his team several ways, including catching a touchdown pass, throwing a touchdown pass and contributing some hard hits on defense such as this one:

RB Rocky Reid: Reid’s game was postponed at halftime. Local reports said it was a light night for Reid as his Concord team quickly jumped out to a 29-0 lead and put reserves in. We’ll try to get a full stat line after his game is completed.

RB Alvin Kamara: Kamara plays Saturday night at Ellsworth Community College. Last week, Kamara had 26 carries for 131 yards and a touchdown as Hutchinson fell to Iowa Western 58-34.

WR Preston Williams: Williams made a nice grab to set up an early Lovejoy touchdown, but the 5-star receiver rolled his ankle and did not return to the game after that (via Grace Olson on Twitter)

TE Kyle Oliver: Oliver’s Oakland squad rolled past Stewarts Creek 54-7, but there was no mention of him in the local game story.

2015 Defense:

DE Andrew Butcher: Butcher tallied at least one sack as his Alpharetta Raiders shutout Northview in a 17-0 win.

DE/ATH Darrell Taylor: Taylor suffered a vicious hit early during his team’s 73-13 loss last night and had to be taken to the hospital. Taylor passed all of his tests and was later released, but it was a tough night for the all-everything athlete.  (via )

DE Dylan Jackson: Jackson and the Maryville Rebels put together another solid performance on both sides of the ball in their 49-14 win over Farragut.

DT Quay Picou & LB Austin Smith: Buford continued their dominating run of games with a 44-0 win over Madison County. Quay Picou actually scored a touchdown for Buford in this game on a 9-yard scoop and score of a Madison County fumble.
