4. The Vols will pay up if they have to
It’s tough to open up the checkbook for a career .500-type coach at a place like Tennessee. But Tennessee will have no choice if this becomes a money issue. The Vols simply can’t afford to lose another coach. If there’s anything this program needs, it’s stability. It’s inconclusive if Jones will become a successful coach long-term in Knoxville. He’s going to make the program better, however, and the Vols can’t let money get in the way of that.
