Offensive Line
Daniel: Copy/paste from the last couple weeks. Another F for this group as it continues to struggle mightily and doesn’t look to be getting much better. Jacob Gilliam did make his return, and all credit in the world to him for what he’s trying to do playing on a torn ACL, but he was a liability out there a few times. With Coleman Thomas and Marcus Jackons both going down during the game, Austin Sanders and Brett Kendrick got some chances, but the results didn’t change any. Ole Miss racked up seven sacks and the Vols finished with a net of zero yards on the ground when all the sack yardage was taken into account. Grade: F
Houston: It was more of the same for this group. Ole Miss was able to sack Justin Worley seven times and held Tennessee to zero rushing yards on the night. There was no push by the offensive line and Ole Miss defenders routinely sidestepped blockers on their way to the quarterback. Injuries to Coleman Thomas and Marcus Jackson didn’t help matters, but there wasn’t much hope for the offensive line in this one. This is a group that lacks experience, strength, continuity and confidence right now, but they won’t get any reprieve this week with a rejuvinated Crimson Tide defense coming to Knoxville. Grade: F
