The first four were true freshmen. We’ll go to the complete opposite end of the spectrum and remind you that redshirt senior Jacob Gilliam has a real chance to see the field for the first time since tearing his ACL in the season opener against Utah State. On Monday, we reported that sources have told us that he has a decent shot to see the field against the Mocs. Butch Jones also said it’s a possibility on Vol Calls Wednesday night. He never had surgery, rehabbed the ligament and is making the gutsy call to try to return on it since he’s out of eligibility. If there’s ever a chance to see if he can get in there and help the team out, this is it. We don’t expect him to start, but he very well could play. He deserves a standing ovation the second he steps on the field if he does.
