With a touch over 6 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter, the Dores trailed 27-10. It was 4th and 2 on Georgia’s 31-yard line when Vandy elected to go for it. Rivers, Vandy’s QB, dropped back 10 yards behind the line before chucking up a prayer that was ultimately intercepted and returned for a TD.
With plays like that Vanderbilt will be anchoring the bottom of the SEC East for some time.
