It’s Happening: #CheckerNeyland

What started out as little more than a dream has now blossomed into a full-blown reality. An idea forged by Spencer Barnett in the wake of Tennessee’s loss to Oklahoma in which OU fans ‘Striped the Stadium’ is now the talk of college football. The University of Tennessee announced yesterday that they have adopted the fan-driven initiative to #CheckerNeyland for this Saturday’s game against Florida.

Fans attending the game are encouraged to check out CheckerNeyland.com to determine what color should be worn based on where their seat is. The site was built by Tim McLeoud and Jonathan Briehl and really simplifies the process of determining the proper color for a given seat.

So spread the word Vol Nation, and make this the national talking point of the week across college football. For this to work out the way it is intended, this information needs to get in front of every fan who plans to be in attendance next Saturday at noon when the Vols will try to end a nine-game losing streak to the Florida Gators.

This type of atmosphere could be the spark that allows Team 118 to do it.
