Tennessee’s 3 Best Chances To Score An Upset

Will muschamp-1

 Florida

The last time Tennessee knocked off Florida, Facebook was was 7 months old, Twitter didn’t exist and the 1st iPhone was nearly 3 years away. Is this the year the Vols end their losing streak to the Gators?  It certainly looks like that could be the case. Florida looked absolutely atrocious against Alabama this weekend and they weren’t impressive in an overtime home win over Kentucky last week. Their defense was one of the nation’s best in 2013 when healthy but has been pedestrian, at best, so far.

That’s a terrible sign if you’re Will Muschamp.

The Gator offense, with Driskel at the helm, won’t strike fear into anyone and Florida looks like they’re just a couple of plays away from unraveling. Their defensive front will cause problems for Tennessee, but the rest of that matchup shouldn’t scare Vol fans. We’ve seen bad Gator teams beat the Vols before, but with an improved Worley at the helm and a sneaky good defense, there’s no reason the Vols can’t end the streak with a solid performance when the Gators come to town on October 4th.

Before the season, I thought the Vols would win one of these three. I’m sticking with that. But as long as the Vols can stay relatively healthy, going 2-1 in these three wouldn’t surprise me.

How do you think the Vols fare in these three games?
