Running back Derrell Scott
He hasn’t played any this season due to various injuries, but the coaches aren’t thinking redshirt for the 4-star running back. He appears on his way to being active for the Georgia game and expect him to get touches. He might not be a huge part of the offense due to Jalen Hurd’s rapid development and the veteran presence of Marlin Lane, but coaches are high on his upside and he can provide the Vols with a change-of-pace presence they haven’t had much of this season. Devrin Young hasn’t commanded a lot of work in the backfield, so look for Scott to find a niche in the offense that will give OC Mike Bajakian more option moving forward.
