Defensive lineman Jaylen Miller
He doesn’t have the flashy upside that some of the true freshmen do, but if you’ve been paying attention, you’ve seen Miller quietly work his way into the defensive line rotation more and more. The sophomore’s getting stronger, quicker and healthier after missing time during training camp this year. He’s primarily a defensive end, though he’s lined up inside at times in practice as well and he’s a guy the Vols will continue to work on developing. Defensive line coach Steve Stripling likes a rotation of about 10 players of front and the Vols need more from players like Miller to get there.
