10. ASU Fake Punt

Arkansas State hit big on a fake punt against Tennessee. The next week they tried to do it again against Miami with the old “pretend like you just died” play.

Alright, and you, Johnson. When it’s snapped, you’re gonna pretend like you just died. BOOM. Right there. Throw in an erie version of the Nestea plunge or something.

Why me, Coach?

Because you SUCK, Johnson. You’re barely contributing while alive. May as well see what we can get out of ya’ dead. 

I’m not sure which is funnier. The fact that the ensuing pass was picked off, or the irony revealed when the ASU player finally got up only to get killed for real. Check it out:

So that’s it. We ended with the guy playing dead. Here’s to the Vols not doing the same down in Athens next week. Game’s at noon. Georgia’s been known to wet the bed in early games between the hedges.
